Low voltage line isolator, stabilizer
Purpose:
To eliminate voltage differential and grounding differential.
Isolate and protect against ground loop failures.
Isolates against Lightning induced transits.
Provides applied corrective voltage regulation on the output.
Green LED Indicates proper Polarity for DC Circuits
Red LED Indicates reverse Polarity for DC circuits
Reason:
Sensitive electronics, alarm and telemetry systems
often require an “isolator” to eliminate transient impulses, ground loop currents and line loss problems. All too often conventional surge suppression
devices, being transient voltage activated, can’t correct these problems
because they allow continuous and surge currents to pass by. Often thermal fuses and MOVs prove too slow
in response to protect surface mount components with low pf values. The IsoShield can correct these problems and
increase signal readings accuracy by providing; 1. transient suppression, 2.
line isolation and 3. source voltage regulation. Thus system operation can be more accurate, repeatable, fault
tolerant and more reliable.
Example
Performance:
Most analog signal and telemetry feedback devices
operate at 24 VDC (in theory). However,
the applied 24 volts is subject, over distance, to impedance and other devices
loading the line to where voltage drop often exceeds 5 or 6 volts. This is an indicator that high surge
currents and/or current loops will cause problems to accurate readings and
cause failures during lightning storms or magnetically induced surges. The
IsoShield breaks these currents by “isolation” and provides each device “source
voltage regulation.” With an input as low as 19 volts the IsoShield outputs a
regulated 24 volts to the devices. Performance, repeatability, and reliability
are improved. Lightning “blow-out” is
avoided because there is no reference to ground on either side of the
IsoSheild. Voltage differentials that cause false alarms thus eliminated.
